This is Shanks and Makino from the anime One Piece, a part of my ongoing One Piece het couple project. So if your into One Piece hetero romance go check out my gallery, I got canon and crack with alot more coming...

This wasn't the pose I was originally going to use; but, unfortuantley Shanks didn't want to work with me. So, I ended up with this instead.

And for the record i really need to work on my backgrounds >.> they all suck. :XD:

Hope you all like it.

Okay, if it's okay, I'm going to give you a suggestion since I watched too much America's Got Talent (though I'm nicer.) Get yourself the manga and look at the features down to the last detail. Also, you can find online somewhere the character designs of the anime series. What I did to train myself to make it look like the characters was I made shapes over a copy I printed out of their bodies. But if you are doing it to show a different style, just x what I've said and go for it.

I actually own all the up-to-date manga scanlations, along with the whole series and movies, ova and specials on my HD and have alot of the character designs. I use them for the outfits... but i dont draw what i see or the art is no longer original.

Often times though my own art style sneaks through a bit as it is unavoidable, so i wont look totally like Oda-senseis. Actually i don't think ANY of my art is spot on especially since his style has changed over the years. And while there is nothing wrong with Makino, Shanks' face is more my style then Oda's. *shrugs* he was giving me issues. Not much i can do about that. :rofl: Is that what was bugging you?
